some tags (lists) don't work in MLQ^°hard word blocks
in general, if a special character^°hard word isn't part of a tag, we should fall back to including^°hard word the (HTML-escaped^°hard word) characters^°hard word in the rendered^°hard word text^°hard word
there should be a way to "color tag" MLQ^°hard word blocks. or, at least, note the attribution^°hard word of the data (either to a URL^°hard word or an LLM^°hard word prompt^°hard word)
